SVG to BMP converter

This SVG to BMP converter renders SVG vector graphics as BMP bitmaps at the size you choose, ready for software that cannot open SVG.

Width × height (px)

How to convert SVG to BMP

  1. Choose or drop one or more SVG files above.
  2. Conversion starts right away. Resize first if you need different dimensions.
  3. Download each BMP, or save them all as a ZIP.

Why convert SVG to BMP?

SVG is a vector format: it stores shapes, not pixels. Many programs, devices and upload forms need a bitmap with a fixed size, and BMP is among the simplest. Converting draws your SVG once at the pixel size you pick.

Choose the output size

The default fits the picture inside 1024x1024 pixels. Because SVG can scale without losing sharpness, you can set a larger width and height, such as 2000x2000, and still get crisp edges. Use Fit inside to keep the shape, or Crop to fill for an exact size.

Things to know

  • Transparent areas become white, because BMP has no transparency.
  • SVG files that load outside images or fonts may look different. The browser draws the file on its own, so fonts that are not embedded are replaced with a default one.
  • BMP files are not compressed. A 2000x2000 picture is about 12MB.

If text looks wrong

Convert text to outlines or paths in your vector editor before exporting the SVG. That way the lettering does not depend on fonts installed on your computer.

Common uses

Logos and diagrams exported from design tools often arrive as SVG. When you need to place one in an older application, a document template or a piece of equipment that only reads bitmaps, a BMP at the right size solves it. Convert once at the largest size you need, then reuse the file.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose the size of the BMP?

Yes. Use the Resize setting. Because SVG is a vector format, even large sizes stay sharp.

Why does my text look different?

The browser draws the SVG without access to outside fonts. Convert text to paths before exporting, or embed the font in the SVG.

Is my SVG uploaded?

No. The file is drawn and converted inside your browser and never leaves your device.
